The Greensboro Pride Festival is a vibrant celebration of LGBTQIA+ pride, visibility, and community. Held in LeBauer Park and preceded by our first-ever Pride Parade along Elm Street, the festival brings people together to celebrate love, inclusion, and authenticity. In 2026, we proudly celebrate 20 years of Greensboro Pride — honoring two decades of community, resilience, and joy.

Safety and enforcement
Greensboro Police Department officers, licensed private security, trained staff, and volunteers will be present throughout the parade route and festival grounds. Anyone violating this policy may be removed without refund, and serious incidents will be reported to law enforcement.
Accessibility
Accessibility is a core part of safety and inclusion at Greensboro Pride. Our parade route and festival site were selected for walkability and accessibility, ASL interpreters are provided for all performances, and layouts accommodate wheelchairs and mobility devices throughout public spaces and amenities.
By attending Greensboro Pride, you agree to help create a celebration that is safe, inclusive, and joyful for all.
Is the Greensboro Pride Festival accessible?
Yes. The parade route and festival location were intentionally selected for walkability and accessibility, with ASL interpreters provided, wheelchair-accessible layouts, and ongoing coordination with city partners to reduce barriers and support inclusive participation.
Why We Celebrate in the Fall
Greensboro Pride is held in the fall to maximize student and community participation and to avoid extreme summer heat, creating a safer and more enjoyable experience for everyone.
What’s the difference between IMPAQT GSO and Greensboro Pride?
IMPAQT GSO is the nonprofit organization that produces and powers Greensboro Pride, along with year-round programs and community events. Same mission, same team, different roles.
How can my organization or business plan an event with or for IMPAQT GSO?
If you're interested in planning an event with IMPAQT GSO, please reach out to christien@impaqtgso.org. While we are a small, volunteer-led team, we welcome ideas and will make every effort to explore meaningful partnership opportunities. We’re always open to discussing possibilities that align with our mission.
How are funds raised by IMPAQT GSO used to support the community?
All funds raised are reinvested directly into free and accessible events, year-round programming, accessibility services, public safety coordination, and community-focused initiatives. IMPAQT GSO is a 501(c)(3), and our financial records are publicly available.
What is the best way to reach someone with Greensboro Pride?
We are an all-volunteer organization. Please email us at info@greensboropride.org.
Can I bring my pets?
For the safety of attendees, performers, vendors, and animals, pets are not permitted at the Greensboro Pride Parade & Festival or along the parade route.
This policy is based on event insurance requirements, City of Greensboro regulations, and public safety considerations for large, high-attendance events. With crowds exceeding tens of thousands of people, loud noises, heat, food, and tight spaces can create unsafe conditions for animals and increase the risk of injury or distress.
Service animals, as defined by the ADA, are permitted. Service animals must remain leashed or harnessed at all times and under the handler’s control.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us keep Greensboro Pride safe, accessible, and enjoyable for everyone.
Where can I park?
We recommend using downtown Greensboro public parking decks and lots, which are affordable, well-lit, and within walking distance of the parade route and festival. For current locations and rates, visit the City of Greensboro Downtown Parking page.
Is the Greensboro Pride Festival free?
Yes. The Parade and Festival are free and open to everyone, thanks to our sponsors and community partners. Optional ticketed experiences are available for those who want added access while supporting Pride and year-round programming.
